Fall 2020: Happy 10th Anniversary, Reputation Economy!

We just passed the 10 year anniversary of the term Reputation Economy (which I collaborated on writing for Dr. Charles Fombrun for HBR during a hotly contested US political season…as Yogi Berra famously quipped, it feels like deja vu all over again!) to explain why people care more about what a company values than what it sells.

    IMO, It’s still true, John. Reputation for Purpose gives a window into the future – what will the products be? What jobs will be taken on? What partnerships sought?
    As a BD professional, I know that my corporation’s reputation must precede us into every engagement.

    You nailed it with this piece, John! Fast forward 10 years: some of the world’s biggest companies are flourishing during the pandemic, yet putting thousands of people out of work!? One only has to wonder if they really get it! The next 24 months will be TELLING!
